The John line is often used to make deco and safety stops easier. A practical bag in nylon that is fastened on the vest or harness and 25mm webbing with a stainless steel hook at the end. The hook is fastened in for example the anchor line so you don't have to hold on to it. This makes it easier for several divers to stop at the same level as well as simplifying the safety stop for the single diver.
The length of the webbing is approximately 220cm.
